 Finding rusted Gears in Arc Raiders is a challenge. Arc Raiders are always extraction shooters, and when an item is needed most it can be difficult to find. There's a good chance that a lot of players are looking for something similar across the four maps right now: the legendary Rusted Gear.

 Rusted gears, which are blue-tier loot of the rarest level in Arc Raiders might appear to be useless. But they're the bottleneck most players face when upgrading their equipment. For your Gunsmith level to be upgraded to the maximum, you will need 3 Rusted Gears. These Rusted Gears allow you the ability to create top-tier weapons in future raids. No wonder these are so hot right now.

 If you want the Rusted GEARS before anyone else, you will need to find them. This guide will tell you exactly where Rusted Gears can be found on all four of the maps, as well as the best farming spots in The Blue Gate.

 Why do arc raiders coins need Rusted gears?

 Rusted Gears in Arc Raiders are uncommon loot and are found mostly in Industrial areas. You will need 3 rusted gears to upgrade to level 3 of your Gunsmith workbench. They can also be used for recycling, or even selling.

 Once you unlock the Blueprints of the guns you want to craft, you can upgrade your Gunsmith. Arc Raiders's first few levels are crucial for collecting at least 3 Rusted Gears.

 Rusted Gears: Where can you find them in Arc Raiders?

 Arc Raiders provides the best opportunity to find Rusted Gears. Checkpoint and Underpass, located beneath the Blue Gate Map, are the ideal locations. Rusted Gears, which are found in the majority of cases by breaching vehicles and trucks, can be easily looted from the Checkpoint/Underpass region. Checkpoint's loot zones are of the highest tier, so you'll find more Rusted Gears than your lesser cousins Rusted Tools.

 The Blue Gate is the best place to search for exact locations:

 If you want to find Rusted Gears, the best strategy is to enter Blue Gate alone. (Ideally during a Night Raid so that your chances are higher to find better loot.) Then head straight for Checkpoint. This area can be dangerous as it is often patrolled with Wasps, Hornets and Bastions. Stay calm and carefully move from one vehicle to another, opening any compartments available. The hood/bonnet of a lootable car will be intact and you can open it. Rusted gears may be hidden in the compartments below.

 To get to the Underpass, you must follow the car trails along the road northeast. This area is slightly safer in terms ARC presence. However, - especially in solos – you will likely run into other players as they make their way down through the vehicles to search for Rusted Gears. If you want to use violence or diplomatic means, that's your decision.

 The tunnels below sprawl outwards, into the Underpass. An underground section covering a large part of Blue Gate's northeast section. You can spend 30 minutes in the tunnels and not run short of cars. It is important to keep track of the round clock. You must not only find the Rusted Wheels but also use them to get out.

 It is your choice whether you want to use this free loadout. If you choose to use a free loadout, you will not lose any gear. This is great because you may spend many rounds looking for Rusted Items. A free loadout has no safe pocket, so if you ever find a Rusted GEAR, you need to take it out with you or you'll lose it forever.

 Rusted Gears may be difficult to find. If you don't own a safe, it is best to remove them as soon as possible. Avoid wasting time trying to get more Rusted Gadgets. They are rare. You should collect them slowly and be cautious when you are searching.

 Best Rusted Gear Map Locations

 Arc Raiders also has a number of smaller areas, such as the Checkpoint and Underpass at Blue Gate where you may find Rusted Gears to upgrade your Gunsmith. All of these locations contain nearby cars and other vehicle that you may breach to try and locate Rusted Equipments.

 Head to the above-mentioned areas during Night Raids to increase your odds of finding Rusted Gears. Night Raids generally yield better loot. You have a higher probability of finding Epic- and rare-tiered items.
