Grammy- and Emmy-winning composer James Newton Howard returns to score Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, contributing 25 new cues for the official soundtrack.

Two selections — "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald" and "Salamander Eyes" — are already available for streaming and purchase.

WaterTower Music, Warner Bros.’ in-house label, will release the complete digital album on 9 November 2018, ahead of the film’s 16 November theatrical debut.

Howard also recorded three solo piano pieces that do not appear in the movie — "Dumbledore’s Theme (solo piano)", "Fantastic Beasts Theme (solo piano)" and "Leta’s Theme (solo piano)" — which are scheduled to arrive earlier, on 26 October.

Physical editions follow later: the CD on 30 November 2018 and a vinyl edition planned for January 2019.

Howard described the project as a wonderful musical opportunity, praising director David Yates as a serious, passionate collaborator who gives the score the attention it deserves.
