I'm expecting the enemies to have backstories that satisfy the "how?" question, not just "a parasite turned me into a sexy goth vampire." I'm not against absurdity – I cheered when Chris Redfield punched a boulder in Resident Evil 5, and RE4's fever-dream plot is iconic. But those games still had a core premise that made internal sense. I'm not asking for perfect realism; I'm asking for storytelling that respects the franchise's balance of sci-fi and horror.

That's why Requiem has me excited. It promises a world where "how?" matters and the writers will give satisfying, believable answers. And that's the Resident Evil I've been missing.
